To celebrate World Book Day, we asked the Arena team to name some of their favourite books. With a strong response from all our book worms, we thought we’d share our list – which comprises a variety of beloved texts including old favourites, well-loved classics and nailbiting thrillers.
Our team named the following as (some of!) their favourites: Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas by John Boyne, Night Watch by Terry Pratchett, The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin by Louis De Bernières, The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson & The Girl on The Train by Paula Hawkins.
The whole team also expressed a love of the books of childrens’ author, Roald Dahl – the parents amongst the team are enjoying rediscovering his stories as they start to share them with their children!
