Here at Arena we believe that your working environment should be as creative as you are. Our offices – along with our workshops and studios – provide the ideal blank canvas for you to design your perfect workspace to maximise your creativity, enhance your brand image and support your company culture.

We caught up with some of our residents in Ferndown to find out more about how they have customised their space to perfectly match their business requirements.

Jade Newman of Lovely Jubbly – online fabric emporium and creator of beautiful make-up bags, greetings cards and wedding stationery – has transformed her space into an Aladdin’s cave of gorgeous fabrics and handmade products. The Lovely Jubbly showroom is a working design studio and shop – clients visit the showroom to purchase stunning printed fabric from Jade’s carefully curated range, sourced from the best designers in all corners of the globe. Additionally, Jade’s designs are available on Not on the High Street and the Lovely Jubbly online store is also run from the Ferndown workshop space.

Jade is also able to run her popular sewing classes and workshops from her studio space – a testament to the versatility of the space that she has created. When asked about her workspace at Arena, Jade commented:

‘I’ve been at Arena for two years and the unit is ideal for my needs. The space is versatile and able to accommodate all of my fabrics and stock, as well as comfortable space for teaching sewing classes. It’s a great venue for my open days and the industrial finish provided a blank canvas that I’ve used to showcase the designs and colours within the fabric, as well as giving me the freedom to design the perfect workspace.’

Meanwhile – on the other side of the centre – Sasquatch Studios have turned their workshop into a martial arts studio. Adam Kiely and his fellow instructors teach a variety of different classes including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Sambo to suit all ages and fitness levels. The split level aspect of their workshop space enables them to have an ‘Open Mat’ area for general practice and an area in which to teach classes. Thanks to the 24/7 access capabilities of the centre, classes are able to run throughout the week – well into the evenings – and over the weekend.

Just two doors down from Sasquatch, the creative team from Rubix have transformed their own workshop into a quirky space that perfectly reflects their brand identity. As a creative agency specialising in advertising and digital marketing, it was imperative that Rubix’s working environment was indicative of their creativity. With their striking orange and black branding adorning the walls, Rubix also decided to bring the outside in on their mezzanine with artificial grass carpeting their meeting area.

Speaking of their experience with Arena, Director Samuel Adams remarked:

‘Arena is a great place to grow a business. The centre is able to provide flexible office space for the needs of a growing business as well as on-site services that ensure business basics are covered.

The staff are friendly and considerate and will do everything they are able to ensure that the service being offered is assisting rather then hindering the business.

I couldn’t think of a better place to be at this stage in our business.’
